Front Door and Trim Staining

Wow, lots going on, but not a lot of work. So, we have been waiting on our siding for the past few weeks. Ordered it on August 9th and it was estimated to arrive on the 12th. We were told that if it didn’t make it on the truck, that it would arrive the following Friday a week later... Well, that Friday had come and gone and no siding, we started to wonder where it was. We made a trip in to chat with the people who placed our order, but come to find out.... the order was never placed. So, chris and I had been waiting for something that just wasn’t going to come. We placed our order...again... and finally they sent out the info and our siding is in, it’s sitting at the warehouse, but it’s within sight. Went to check it out, and it looks great, hope to get it out to the build site by tomorrow, or Monday at the latest.
On a side note, we also got our front door in!!!!!!! It looks amazing, the guys at Frank Lumber, in Marysville, really came through. They said it would take two weeks, and it did, right on time.
We also were able to start staining our 1 x 3 Cedar Trim, this will go on the corners of the house where the Cedar Siding will butt up against it. The Stain we had chosen was Chocolate from Behr, and we got it in a Semi-Transparent so the natural grains show through. This is just the first coat, I’ll be finishing it up tomorrow.
