We officially have our Trailer!!!!

Wow, lots have happened in the last few weeks. We did finally get our trailer... we thought we would be getting it last week, but there were some delays. Chris called Olympic Trailer and Truck to see if the trailer was delivered yet, but they only saw a note in the system that the trailer was still at the factory. They said it would be here on Monday, but we didn’t receive any calls about it. Chris had Tuesday off, so we were going to drive down to pick it up, but still no word on where the trailer was. Finally we were able to get through to someone, and they informed us that there was a semi that had not been unloaded yet, and that he would check it out and call us back. Phone rings..... “looks like we have it.” YEAH!
Picked up the trailer at:
Olympic Trailer & Truck
7830 Martin Way East
Olympia, WA 98516-5718
(360) 357-3065
We made it down to Olympia just after 3 pm, and didn’t really leave till about 5 pm... so we had to sit in a little rush hour traffic, but it wasn’t bad.
Before bringing it to the building location, we stopped off at Home Depot to pick up some lumber. We figured that since we already had a usable tailer, might as well make a stop and pick up the lumber ourselves and save a ton of money on delivery. We also picked up some basic tools to help get us going. The guys at Home Depot have been soo helpful, answering all our questions, and helping us pick out just the right items.... props to the pros at Home Depot!
So, by the time we got to Home Depot, it was already getting late. We were there from about 7 pm till close... 10 pm
The lady at the customer service desk at one point said to Chris, “have you been here the whole time?” LOL! Yeah, we had a lot of lumber to pick up and tools and everything else... but we were able to get most of it. We will still have to make another trip with the trailer to pick up the rest of our 2x4 lumber. Once we purchased everything, we then had to through it on the trailer and strap it down for the ride to the build site. We were kind of nervous driving with all the lumber, just hoping none of it would fall of the trailer, so we decided to drive just a little under the speed limit. Traffic wasn’t bad at 10:30 pm, so that made for a nice and easy drive. Once we arrived at the build site, we had to unload everything from the trailer and put it into another trailer for storage. They were calling for rain the next day, so we wanted to get most of the lumber into the shelter. For the stuff we didn’t have time to unload, we just put a tarp over and strapped the sides down. By this time it’s about 11:30 midnight and Chris had to work early, so we were both tired. We drove home to get ready for bed, and once we were home... my mind would not shut off... didn’t fall asleep till 3:30 4 am I think... just so much to think about and so many thoughts coming and going. I’m so excited to get started!
Oh yes, Chris and I were on location for a photo shoot, and I took some pretty photos... so I thought I would share. There aren’t many, but I like them!
