You are my sunshine!

Spring time is here, and the sun is out! I’m not going to lie... it has been extremely rainy this year in WA, but I love every moment of it! I see and hear a lot of people complaining about the rain, but they must forget that it’s the Evergreen State for a reason. The mountains are topped with snow, the air smells amazing, and the feel of the sun just can’t compare.
Due to the rain, we haven’t gotten the chance to get working on our subfloor just yet, but I did have time to take a whole lot of measurement and build my trailer in Lightwave 3D to see how everything will look. I’ve also been framing out our Tiny House so see where everything will go.
Last week Chris and I attempted to put up a tarp for a workspace out of the rain. Sadly the rain was just too hard over the weekend and took it down. Thankfully we have not started building, so nothing but the tarp was damaged. One suggestion for anyone looking to build on a timeline, find a location to build inside a building if possible. Our fellow Tiny House friend informed us of companies that rent tents, that could be one option. For right now, Chris and I will just have to work with what we have, and cover everything up at the end of the build days.
For now, we have the tarp over a very long swing set that Rick was so kind to have let us use. The weather shows a good 4 days of sun, so Chris and I are planning on getting the subfloor built on Friday. On Saturday, our friend Candice will be putting up the walls to her tiny house, so please let me know if you are at all interested in helping out, and being part of something amazing. It’s this Saturday, just email me if you would like to come.
On a side note, Chris and I have been reading up on a few subjects, and thought it would be nice to share some good reads with everyone thinking about building their own Tiny House.
Happy Reading!
